We firmly believe that our success as a business is reflected by the testimonials our clients give us and their happiness to continue to use us – long term.
Whether it is setting up a small self administered pension scheme (SSAS), acting as Pension Fund Trustees, providing independent financial advice or any combination of all 3 of our core skills, our clients come to us because they’ve heard good things about us. But they only stay with us – and give us positive testimonials – if we do a good job.
Thankfully, most of our clients are long-term clients and you can read a few ‘Pensions Management Testimonials’ from some of them here. They are all genuine, but we’ve changed their names to protect their identities. If you would like to talk to any of them, just contact us and we’ll happily put you in touch.
“PML act as Independent Trustee for our SSAS and provide investment advice of all types, ensuring compliance with all legislation that is relevant to the scheme. They also prepare accounts in the required format and hold regular and timely reviews on the scheme, so we always know what is happening and how we should move forwards.
Our experiences with PML have always been positive and we have the utmost confidence in all the services they provide. In particular, we have always enjoyed a close relationship with Gay Nebel, who first looked after us whilst working at another organisation, so it was the natural thing for us to do, to keep our business with her when she moved to PML.
We have never had any reason to consider a competitor and cannot foresee any reason why this position should change. Indeed we have recommended PML’s – and Gay’s - services to several friends who have also been satisfied with the quality of service and the results.”
Mr T. E.
“Gay Nebel at PML has been my pension adviser for many years. Initially she was my adviser when my fund was with another company, Fenchurch Trustees. When she moved to PML, I moved my fund there in 2006 as I wanted Gay to continue to look after it.
Gay has always been helpful, knowledgeable and responsive to any matters regarding my SSAS and subsequent SIPP. In fact she is always my first port of call on any pension matter for me, my wife or my children. She is a font of knowledge on what can and cannot be done with my pension fund, with one example being how she oversaw the sale of a building from the fund and then handled the reinvestment of the proceeds.
She has extensive knowledge of investment opportunities in all areas including funds and equities, and is in regular touch with me regarding any changes and updates.
Gay is very approachable, and always takes the time, and is able, to convey the complexities of pension matters in terms that I can understand, and I always find the monthly bulletins written by her colleague Geoff Stait to be readable, thought provoking and informative.
I will continue to use, and would recommend Gay and all at PML, as pension advisers.”
“Being a fairly cynical type, I have not always found it easy to be convinced that the pension adviser I am talking to for advice and guidance is genuinely prepared to put my interests before his own potential earnings from commission!
Geoff Stait at PML was recommended to me nearly 20 years ago and over that whole period I have never doubted for one second that Geoff, and the excellent team at PML, has always put my interests first. They have helped me to build a pension way beyond my initial expectations, and continue to provide me with support whenever it's needed.”
“My working career embraced a period of self employment for some 25 years followed by employment with a large national operation.
The period of self employment necessitated the funding of individual pension plans. During a subsequent period as an employee I was able to participate in a final salary contributory pension scheme provided by the employer which, unfortunately, came to a tragic end when the pension scheme collapsed and was taken into the Pension Protection Fund. Following on from that until retirement, I contributed to a Group Money Purchase Scheme.
On retirement, therefore, I had a mixture of personal pensions, the remains of a final salary pension scheme and a pension fund pot from the Group Money Purchase Scheme. I was uncertain as to what I needed to do and how to go about doing it, which led me to turn to Gay Nebel at PML for honest advice and guidance.
Gay/PML immediately understood my needs and set about the problem, sorting out all the components to provide a SIPP fund, drawdown, tax free cash and retirement benefits with, from thereon, regular yearly and where necessary intermediate reviews, coupled with general financial advice and updates.
The net outcome is a satisfactory retirement for me, and confidence in an adviser with experience and expertise who offers a personal service. Gay's basis of remuneration – the fees that PML charge - has always been clear and agreed up front without hidden extras, and for sound pensions advice that I received, I am glad that I looked no further.
I would not hesitate in recommending others to do the same.”
"PML set up our SSAS in 1998 and has looked after us ever since. The relationship started when our accountant suggested to my business partner and me that we should consider using an independent financial adviser to best place the monies in our pension plans rather than leave them with one large international insurance company.
We were subsequently introduced to Geoff Stait and later on Rob Taylor at PML who helped us to set up our SSAS as a tax efficient means of organising our pension funds. PML has continued to act as Independent Pension Trustees and provides advice on all matters of financial planning both before and after our retirements in 2003.
Geoff, Rob and their staff provide a valuable and efficient service in a friendly and approachable manner and we envisage continuing to use them for the foreseeable future.”
